Make use of odd-shaped leather scraps

From Scraps to something precious. Let’s create something adorable today!

I started making leather goods as a hobby a few years ago. I used to create wallets and small sling bags for my friends and family. Whenever I cut leather pieces for these projects, there were always leftover scraps. Since leather isn’t cheap, I didn’t want to throw these leftover pieces away.

So, I began saving them in a small corner of my shelf. Over time, my shelf filled up with odd-shaped leather scraps that were too beautiful to discard but too small for most crafting projects.

Not wanting to waste these leather scraps, I decided to make something small and simple out of them. That's when I started creating items like keychains, key holders, leather bracelets, earrings, and even bag charms.

Today, I'm making some ribbons in various sizes using my leather scraps!

I started by drawing a long rectangle on paper, cutting it out, and then twisting it to see how the ribbon should look when tied. Of course, I also referred to some helpful materials online for guidance. After that, I adjusted the shape of the rectangle to give the ribbon a more beautiful shape and nice tails.

Here are the final results. You can watch this video to see how I made them.
